At IMEFY, we are always looking for ways to improve our processes and provide the best service to our customers. Recently, we have taken a big step in this direction with the installation of a self-supporting automated warehouse by Mecalux<\/a>, which allows us to centralize the storage of our raw materials and enhance the efficiency of our production.<\/p>\n

We launch a new R&D&I Project<\/h3>\n

With the aim of promoting technological development, innovation, and high-quality research, IMEFY has launched a project entitled \u201cInvestment for the Automated Storage of Self-Supporting Pallets of Raw Materials for Transformer Manufacturing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The self-supporting pallet warehouse has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF 2014-2020) and the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI).<\/strong> It had a budget of \u20ac626,200.50 and has been implemented at the IMEFY plant located in Los Y\u00e9benes (Toledo), with an execution period from 21\/04\/2023 to 31\/12\/2024.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the support received, IMEFY is launching this new R&D&I initiative<\/strong>, reaffirming its commitment to the fundamental pillars of its Business Policy: research, development, and innovation.<\/p>\n

The challenge: centralizing and optimizing our warehouse<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our goal was clear: to centralize all our warehouses into a single facility to achieve more efficient inventory control and streamline material management, including perishable products. We aimed to reduce handling times, improve material preservation, and optimize the use of available space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The solution: a customized automated warehouse by Mecalux<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

With this challenge in mind, we opted for a self-supporting pallet warehouse equipped with Easy WMS management software, which allows us to automate all product entries and exits. This solution helps us implement the FIFO (First In, First Out) system, essential for ensuring proper material rotation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The warehouse stands 24 meters tall and 80 meters long, with a storage capacity of 4,854 pallets. Additionally, its double-deep stacker crane and three entry and exit points for goods significantly streamline the storage and retrieval process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

Thanks to this new installation, we have been able to free up space in our plant for manufacturing tasks. Now, materials are managed much more quickly and efficiently, allowing us to increase our production capacity and improve delivery times for our customers, the leading European electrical companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
