Imefy SL has achieved a historic milestone by securing the largest public tender in Iceland’s history for the supply of oil-immersed distribution transformers.<\/p>\n

The Samorka Consortium and its importance in the Icelandic electricity market<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This significant contract has been awarded by the Samorka consortium, composed of Iceland\u2019s four main electricity companies: Rarik ohf, HS Veitur, Orkuveita Reykjavikur, and Norourka hf. These four companies cover the entire island and represent more than ninety percent of the country’s supply.<\/p>\n

The contract, with an initial duration of three years and the possibility of an extension for one plus an additional year, is a recognition of the quality and reliability of Imefy transformers. It is estimated that Imefy will supply more than 500 oil transformers over the course of the contract.<\/p>\n

The awarding of this project has been possible thanks to the collaboration of our exclusive agent, Fagkaup, who has played a key role in the negotiation and awarding process.<\/p>\n

Regarding its financial performance, Fagkaup reported revenues of 25 billion Icelandic krona and employed 278 people in 2023. The company\u2019s assets were valued at 14.4 billion Icelandic krona at the end of that year, with a net equity of approximately 5.6 billion Icelandic krona.<\/p>\n

Fagkaup has also implemented an environmental policy across all its operational units. The main objective is to reduce total CO\u2082 emissions by 30% by the end of 2030 compared to 2019 levels.<\/p>\n
