This document reinforces our commitment to sustainability, transparency and continuous improvement in environmental management.<\/p>\n<h3>A methodology based on international standards<\/h3>\n<p>The report has been prepared in accordance with international standards <strong>UNE-EN-ISO 14064-1 and ISO\/TS 14067<\/strong>, which allow the quantification and communication of the organizational, product and event carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p>The methodology applied follows the international <strong>GHG Protocol<\/strong> standard, which allows us to identify and classify our emissions as <strong>direct<\/strong> (such as the use of natural gas or our own transportation) or <strong>indirect<\/strong> (such as electricity consumption, external transportation, waste or personnel travel).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31917 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023.jpg\" alt=\"cat\u00e1logo-sostenibilidad-2025\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-150x79.jpg 150w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-320x168.jpg 320w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-400x210.jpg 400w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-600x315.jpg 600w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-669x351.jpg 669w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-700x368.jpg 700w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-768x403.jpg 768w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-800x420.jpg 800w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/imefy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/sostenibiliad-gei-2023.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Actions carried out during 2023<\/h3>\n<p>During the year 2023, IMEFY has developed different initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental impact:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electricity consumption with <strong>zero CO\u2082e emissions<\/strong>, thanks to the combination of certified electricity of 100% renewable origin and energy generated by our photovoltaic plant.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Signing of a contract with the electric<\/strong> company to guarantee the exclusive supply of renewable energies, with zero-emission certification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continuation of the change of lighting fixtures in the factory<\/strong>, started in 2019, with more efficient technology (except offices).<\/li>\n<li>Progress in the development of a new <strong>ERP planning system<\/strong>, which will allow us to optimize production processes in the coming years.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of measures derived from an <strong>energy audit carried out in 2023<\/strong>, highlighting the preparation of a <strong>new industrial heating system<\/strong> aimed at significantly reducing natural gas consumption.<\/li>\n<li>Beginning of the procedures for the <strong>registration of the carbon footprint in MITECO<\/strong>, with the aim of obtaining the <strong>REDUZCO seal during 2024.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Results and environmental objectives within the 2025 sustainability catalog<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>total CO\u2082 equivalent (CO\u2082e) footprint<\/strong> recorded in 2023 was <strong>1,636 tons,<\/strong> split between natural gas consumption, transportation, waste and other operational factors.<\/p>\n<p>In line with our <strong>Strategic Sustainability Plan<\/strong>, IMEFY has set a target of reducing <strong>CO\u2082e emissions by 2% during 2024<\/strong>, compared to the base year 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This effort reaffirms our commitment to cleaner, more efficient industrial production that is committed to the global challenges of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Full details of the report and our approach to sustainability can be found at the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/imefy.com\/en\/sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More information on sustainability at IMEFY<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At IMEFY we have published our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Report for the year 2023, included in the 2025 sustainability catalog.
