IMEFY strengthens its international presence by providing electrical technology for one of the most important infrastructure projects in the Arctic: the new Qaqortoq airport in Greenland.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, the company has supplied three 630 kVA oil transformers,<\/strong> which are already installed at the new Qaqortoq Airport (Julianeh\u00e5b) in southern Greenland.<\/span><\/p>\n

The airport, currently under construction, has been designed to improve air connectivity in southern Greenland.<\/strong> It is scheduled to open on 16 April 2026, a key date in the plan to modernise the territory’s airport network.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/b>n this type of critical infrastructure, electrical equipment plays an essential role.<\/strong> Therefore, ensuring a reliable energy supply is crucial to guaranteeing safe and continuous operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 630 kVA oil transformers<\/strong><\/a> supplied by IMEFY provide a robust and efficient solution for the electrical distribution of the airport infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

These units are designed to offer stability, continuity of service and high reliability,<\/strong> key factors in facilities where interruptions are not permitted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Toledo-based company consolidates its experience in the development and supply of electrical solutions for highly demanding international projects. In this way, the company strengthens its position in strategic transport and energy infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

The entry into service of Qaqortoq Airport will represent a significant advance in accessibility to southern Greenland.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The new infrastructure will also replace the current heliport and part of the operations at Narsarsuaq Airport.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
