Sun instead of coal – ZE PAK and ESOLEO have built the largest solar power plant in Poland in Wielkopolska
ZE PAK – electricity producer from Wielkopolska and ESOLEO from Polsat Group have built the largest photovoltaic farm in Poland. The solar power plant was built in areas reclaimed for the natural environment, where lignite was mined. ESOLEO, as a company specialized in the construction of photovoltaic installations, engaged in the implementation of investments, among others local companies and employees who previously worked in coal mining. The project was implemented as the next stage of the transformation of coal into green energy, led by ZE PAK and Zygmunt Solorz. The value of the signed contract is almost PLN 164 million.
The contract was concluded between Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów-Adamów-Konin SA and the consortium ESOLEO Sp. z o.o. and Przedsiębiorstwo Remontowe PAK SERWIS Sp. z o.o. from Konin. Thanks to the contract, a solar power plant with a capacity of 70 MWp was built. It was built on an area of 100 hectares in the Brudzew commune, where the Adamów open-cast lignite mine previously operated. Thanks to reclamation, these areas have been restored and restored to the natural environment.
IMEFY has a large share in this project thanks to the delivery of 32 sOIT transformers with a unit capacity of 2MVA, dedicated to work on photovoltaic farms. Over the last 3 years, deliveries to solar farms have become an important direction of the company’s development, under which Imefy has delivered units to over 1,200 locations in Poland, including the second largest PV farm located in one area – the GEPOL farm in Ręczyn near Bogatynia, power of 55 MWp. The farm belongs to the Zgorzelec Cluster for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency. We feel satisfied with the presence of our transformers in every energy sector.
The solar farm in Brudzew is the largest PV farm in Poland. Its capacity is over 18.5 times greater than the capacity of the largest photovoltaic power plant currently operating in Poland, located in Czernikowo near Toruń, with an installed capacity of 3.77 MW.
