Power Transformers

Design is the first and most critical milestone for the start of the construction of a power transformer. For its realization, it is necessary a thorough study of the requirements requested by the client for an adequate knowledge of the fundamental parameters of the transformer to be built.

The design consists of several parts that are fully identified and interrelated, such as electromagnetic design, thermal design, mechanical design and calculation of the noise level of the transformer. For this, IMEFY has an Engineering Area with specific software and calculation programs for the design of power transformers.

Once this phase is finished, manufacturing begins, with the appropriate specifications and strict controls of each phase of the product, starting with the construction of the power transformer core and ending with its filling, treatment and impregnation with dielectric liquid. Finally, in our test laboratories, our technicians check that the finished transformers meet all the requirements demanded by the customer.
