IMEFY has reached a collaboration agreement with the Club Baloncesto Zona 5 Toledo, by which it will name the first team of the Club, which will be renamed IMEFY ZONA 5 TOLEDO.
The Club, which has just turned 9 years old and has more than 140 athletes, has teams in all men’s categories and also in the junior women’s category. Throughout these 9 years, more than 400 athletes have been trained on its courts, mainly in those located in the neighborhoods of Valparaíso and La Legua, where its main pool of players is located. However, more and more players are coming from other areas of the city and surrounding municipalities.
This rootedness in the area has made the club worthy of the Sports Merit Award, granted by the La Legua Neighborhood Association as part of the events scheduled for the neighborhood festivities, held in late September.
The agreement, which will be valid for three seasons, will provide the club with the necessary stability to face the major sporting challenges of the competition with guarantees. Last season, the senior team reached the promotion play-offs, an achievement it aims to surpass this season.
This agreement will also benefit the club’s other athletes, who are between the ages of 7 and 18.
