At IMEFY, we are always looking for ways to improve our processes and provide the best service to our customers. Recently, we have taken a big step in this direction with the installation of a self-supporting automated warehouse by Mecalux, which allows us to centralize the storage of our raw materials and enhance the efficiency of our production.

The challenge: centralizing and optimizing our warehouse

Our goal was clear: to centralize all our warehouses into a single facility to achieve more efficient inventory control and streamline material management, including perishable products. We aimed to reduce handling times, improve material preservation, and optimize the use of available space.

The solution: a customized automated warehouse by Mecalux

With this challenge in mind, we opted for a self-supporting pallet warehouse equipped with Easy WMS management software, which allows us to automate all product entries and exits. This solution helps us implement the FIFO (First In, First Out) system, essential for ensuring proper material rotation.

The warehouse stands 24 meters tall and 80 meters long, with a storage capacity of 4,854 pallets. Additionally, its double-deep stacker crane and three entry and exit points for goods significantly streamline the storage and retrieval process.

Thanks to this new installation, we have been able to free up space in our plant for manufacturing tasks. Now, materials are managed much more quickly and efficiently, allowing us to increase our production capacity and improve delivery times for our customers, the leading European electrical companies.
