After months of preparations, the long-awaited day finally arrived for all those who are part of IMEFY: the celebration of its 50th anniversary. A day that was marked by the excitement and joy of bringing together all the people who have made it possible to get to where we are today.
IMEFY celebrates its 50th anniversary in the perfect place: Puy du Fou.
The day began at the Hotel Beatriz in Toledo and, from there, we headed directly to the theme park, Puy du Fou.
After a special welcome, we enjoyed the first daytime show: “A pluma y espada”, a play set in the Gran Corral de Comedias about duels, plots and loves of the great Fernán Gómez. A show that left no one indifferent.
After this bath of light and sound, we gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary presentation ceremony, in which the CEO’s of IMEFY, Eduardo and Armando Fontecha, made an accurate picture about the history of the company, since its founding in 1973.
Later, we went to the cocktail, enlivened by a string quartet and where we could regain strength to go directly to enjoy the “crown jewel” of Puy du Fou: “The Dream of Toledo”, night show of the park, characterized by leaving open-mouthed and fascinated all the people who dare to see it.
From the time of Recaredo to the Battle of Navas de Tolosa, from the discovery of America to the inauguration of the railroad… an immense scene of light, water, projections and sound moves and takes visitors on a journey through 1,500 years of history interpreted by 200 actors on a vast 5-hectare stage.
Fireworks and applause brought the first big day of our anniversary celebration to an end.
Getting to know IMEFY from the inside: a visit dedicated to our customers on the occasion of our 50th anniversary.
We started the second day, again, at the Hotel Beatriz, our meeting point. Between welcomes and coffee breaks, we arrived at the main event of the day: a guided tour of our factory in Los Yébenes.
Oil transformers, resin transformers, power transformers… How are our transformers manufactured? What are the processes? Where does the manufacturing process begin and end? How are they distributed afterwards? As we walked among transformers and rooms, we answered all our customers’ questions.
At the end of our tour of the factory, we were on our way to Toledo to enjoy a panoramic view from the Valley of the City of the Three Cultures.
Finally, we went to Venta de Aires, the only centenary restaurant in Castilla-La Mancha, where Eduardo Fontecha gave us a tour of the present and future of the company and thanked, of course, the affection and trust shown by the national customers for so many years. In addition, the future of the energy sector was presented by Rafael Chacón, the export director.
In this way, we ended our 50th anniversary.
Thanks to our customers, friends, colleagues and people who are and continue to be by our side
We want to thank all the people and companies that have trusted and trust us. Thanks to them, IMEFY is a reference company in the sector. Undoubtedly, this trust is what gives energy to our project that fifty years ago began as an idea and that, today, has become a great value for the future.
