Imefy invests in improving productivity with the incorporation of new winding machines. In addition to expanding the range of winding products, the aim is to improve transformers production.
Through the subsidy granted by “Junta de Castilla-La Mancha” and the European Regional Development Fund, two new winding machines have been acquired with new production technologies according to IMEFY requirements, with which the production of transformers will be improved by between 25 % and 65%.
Imefy improves its production capacity in the manufacturing process of cast resin transformers with high and low voltage winding machines
In its expansion trajectory, during its 40 years of experience in the sector, Imefy has had a total area of 86,000 m2, facilities dedicated to the manufacture of products within the electricity sector.
Thanks to the execution of this project and the incorporation of a new low-voltage winding machine, the company achieves a greater response capacity to face with large orders for transformers, increasing its previous production by 65%. Furthermore, different positive effects have been achieved by improving transformer manufacturing processes.
Some of the characteristics of this new low-voltage winding machine have allowed the automation of the welding process between conductors, significantly reducing production times and obtaining greater reliability.
This investment allows to manufacture a wider range of products as larger windings can be manufactured.
In the case of the high voltage winding machine, it has managed to achieve an increase of 25% in production. This new machine allows absolute control of the winding system, both in communication with the machine’s own system and in the configuration of its parameters, therefore, it is possible to undertake the manufacture of special products.
Imefy receives an 80% subsidy to encourage the project
The European Regional Development Fund encourages this project with an 80% co-financed subvention. This financing gives rise to the insertion of the new previously mentioned winding machines, with the aim of achieving a more competitive business fabric. With this, Imefy manages to contribute to an improvement in business productivity in Castilla-La Mancha.
