Although the start of the season raised many doubts—with just one win in the first half of the season—the team has shown significant improvement in the second half.

This progress has allowed the team to gain confidence and achieve a record of 6 wins and only 3 losses, which already guarantees their place in the division and puts them in contention for the promotion playoffs to the 3rd FEB League.

MATCHDAY 10. IMEFY ZONE 5 63-53 GRUPO 76-ALKASAR

Our team regained its form. With improved outside shooting and a faster pace, they extended their lead, which settled at around ten points.

Despite a few close calls from the visitors, we managed to hold on to our lead and secure our second consecutive victory.

MATCHDAY 11. C.B. CRIPTANA 107-61 IMEFY ZONA 5

We suffered a tough defeat in Criptana against a team that displayed a pace and physicality far above the level of this division. Although our team rose to the challenge of going toe-to-toe with them in a strong start, the home team’s physical superiority, outside shooting, and aggressive play ultimately proved too much for us.

We must keep working, focusing on the games in “our league.” The highlight of the match was the debut in this division of Álex García, a product of the club’s youth system and a model of commitment and hard work.

MATCHDAY 12. IMEFY ZONA 5 45-73 EBA

The Albacete team, cup runners-up, demonstrated from the first quarter why they are one of the favorites, with high shooting accuracy and a very effective game that we couldn’t stop despite a great collective effort.

Our lack of shooting accuracy prevented us from staying closer in a game where we ended up feeling like we competed more on the court than on the scoreboard.

WEEK 13. CB CUENCA 51-68 IMEFY ZONA 5

We’ve got our third win! Our senior team secured their first road victory in Cuenca to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot. From the start, we set the pace of the game and controlled the score, though our lack of efficiency around the basket prevented us from pulling away.

A couple of strong runs and excellent free-throw shooting allowed us to open up a lead and take the game.

MATCHDAY 14. IMEFY ZONE 5 69-60 CERVANTES

A huge victory for our boys on a morning to remember at La Legua. We were finally back playing at home and hosted none other than the league’s third-place team.

However, the team put on its best performance of the year and stayed ahead on the scoreboard from start to finish.

A great team effort on both defense and offense, with a fast-paced game that allowed us to secure a well-deserved victory and move into playoff contention.

To cap off the day, we witnessed two debuts: the long-awaited return of Jesús after his injury and the debut of Vicen, a junior player who embodies the club’s values like few others.

MATCHDAY 15. RADO PAKOLO 62-37 IMEFY ZONA 5

A visit to the league leaders on the longest road trip of the season, which ended in a loss in a very low-scoring game. A great defensive performance by our team, holding the home side to their worst home scoring total of the season.

However, that effort was undermined by poor shooting accuracy, which prevented us from competing more effectively against a strong team.

A win and a favorable point differential to secure our place in the First National Division

MATCHDAY 16. IMEFY ZONE 5 69-52 EMPLEDIS ACADEMIA ALBACETE

Mission accomplished! In a very focused performance by our team, controlling both the pace and the score, the squad stayed ahead the entire time. When the opponent mounted a comeback, they kept their composure to hold onto the lead and extend it with a strong fourth quarter (20-7).

A game that confirms the team’s growth over the season and serves as a reward for both the team and the club. Neither the players nor the fans ever stopped believing during the tough moments, and now they are reaping the rewards of their hard work, achieving their goal with two rounds remaining. Promotion playoffs…

MATCHDAY 17. IMEFY ZONE 5 TOLEDO 64-60 CB POLÍGONO

The final regular-season home game was nothing less than a derby. And, as such, it had it all: back-and-forth scoring, tension, and excitement right until the end… and a victory for our team!

After a first half in which the visitors played better, the team knew how to respond with a great 15-minute stretch in the second half. From there, the game entered a chaotic final stretch in which we managed to hold on to secure the win.

We can’t forget to congratulate Marcos López, another junior player who made his debut in the category as a reward for his daily hard work and commitment.

MATCHDAY 18. MARIANISTAS 63-68 IMEFY ZONE 5

An overtime victory to cap off a spectacular second half of the season. The team started off dominating the game, holding a lead of between 5 and 10 points until midway through the third quarter.

From there, the momentum shifted: an offensive slump, missed free throws, and a lack of aggressiveness on the boards left us trailing by 4 points with 50 seconds remaining.

At that moment, two great defensive plays allowed us to score on the fast break and force overtime. During overtime, accuracy from the free-throw line and solid defense secured the victory.

The team thus caps off a great second half of the season, finishing in seventh place and advancing to the promotion playoffs against EBA, which will be a best-of-three series.

The first game will be played in Albacete, the second in Toledo on April 12 at 12:00 p.m., and, if necessary, the third will be played again in Albacete.
