The IMEFY ZONA 5 TOLEDO team wins the play-off best of three games beating the second classified of the south group, C.B. UCA from Albacete. The play-off, in which the home court factor was for the Albacete team, started with a bad result for the team from Toledo, losing the first game 86-61.
In the second leg, played in Toledo, with a great game by IMEFY ZONA 5, the tie was evened out, with the team from Toledo winning 80-66 in a pavilion full of fans.
Third game: intense fight for a place in the Final Phase
There was a third and decisive match that was held on the 3rd at the Parque Sur Pavilion in Albacete. The Club chartered a bus so that the fans could accompany the team and be the push that every team wants in the stands.
A final match that did not disappoint: competitive, intense, vibrant, evenly matched… Although IMEFY ZONA 5 maintained an advantage on the scoreboard from the 4th minute of the game, extending it up to 17 points, a great partial of UCA in the third quarter made them come closer to a single point, leaving everything to be solved in the last quarter.
Heart-stopping finale and victory for Toledo
Although IMEFY ZONA 5 was still leading the scoreboard, the advantages were minimal, two-four points, too little against a team with great outside success that in the first play-off game scored twelve three-pointers. Finally, although with a final mistake in the free throw that made it even more exciting, IMEFY ZONA 5 won by four points, 62-66, earning access to the Final Phase to 4, to fight for promotion to First National.
