Faithful to its commitment to academic training and educational excellence, IMEFY continues to honor the memory of consulting engineer Gianluigi Sigaudi through its scholarship program. This time, the recipients are Francesca Gregorio and Damiano Prezioso, two outstanding students from the Polytechnic University of Turin and members of the Einaudi University College.
Francesca Gregorio: Passion for mathematics and innovation
Francesca Gregorio, originally from Villafalletto, moved to Turin to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in “Mathematics for Engineering” at the Polytechnic University of Turin. Her fascination with the intersection of theoretical rigor and practical application has led her to participate in excellence programs such as the Polytechnic’s Intraprendenti Project and the Carlo Alberto College’s Allievi Program. Her interests focus on artificial intelligence, optimization, and data science, fields in which she hopes to specialize during her master’s degree and possibly a PhD.
For Francesca, receiving this scholarship represents recognition of her effort and dedication, as well as motivation to continue advancing in her academic journey.
Damiano Prezioso: Aerospace Engineering with an International Vision
Damiano Prezioso, a final-year Master’s student in Aerospace Engineering, grew up in Bra, Piedmont, and has lived at the Einaudi University College since his second year of studies. Passionate about space exploration, he has directed his studies towards this field and is currently seeking opportunities to conduct his thesis abroad, a goal for which this scholarship will be an important support.
Beyond his academic training, Damiano is passionate about music and has been involved in organizing festivals such as the Artico Festival in Bra. He also dedicates time to volunteering in Youth Mountaineering, demonstrating his commitment to the community.
A Legacy That Drives the Future
IMEFY reaffirms its commitment to education and the development of young talent, keeping the legacy of Gianluigi Sigaudi alive through these scholarships. The collaboration with the Einaudi University College continues to strengthen the bond between industry and academia, providing students like Francesca and Damiano with the opportunity to achieve their goals and contribute their knowledge to society’s progress.
