IMEFY has started up a new resin mixing plant for the manufacture of power transformers encapsulated in epoxy resin. These facilities have been built at the Los Yébenes (Toledo) factory with the aim of improving production, reducing the generation of non-hazardous waste and making progress in the competitiveness of an increasingly fragmented market.
The project has now been successfully completed and has received financial support from a grant awarded by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the European Regional Development Fund. Thanks to this aid, IMEFY has started up this new resin mixing plant with new production technologies that have made it possible to eliminate a process subsequent to encapsulation and have drastically reduced the generation of non-hazardous waste.
This is a significant advance for IMEFY’s production process that will improve the quality of the transformers and their delivery times.
