Imefy’s technical staff has developed the project ‘New autoclave for filling transformers immersed in dielectric liquids’ between April 2020 and September 2021 with the main objective of acquiring and incorporating a new autoclave in the production line of immersed dielectric liquids transformers that Imefy has in its facilities in Los Yébenes (Toledo).
The project has involved an expense of approximately € 504,514.00. It has been co-financed by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and the Regional Development European Fund (FEDER). With this equipment, Imefy is prepared to manufacture transformers with an evident tendency to grow in size due to the new Ecodesign requirements.
Not only the new regulatory requirements will be met, but it will also be possible to perform the transformer filling process with various dielectric liquids under vacuum at an extended power range of up to 8 MVA, depending on their characteristics. With ten outlets for filling with different liquids controlled by independent flowmeters, a high vacuum system and pre-installation for drying by a low frequency system, the equipment is fully controlled by a programmable PLC system that can be supervised in real time and whose records ensure the full traceability of the process.
