IMEFY is supporting the 2nd ‘entre dos luces’ night walk against cancer, a charity initiative organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), which will take place on 19 June 2026 in Talavera de la Reina. The walk aims to raise funds to support patients and their families, as well as to promote cancer research.
The event will set off from Plaza del Pan at 9.45 pm and will once again bring together hundreds of participants for a day marked by solidarity and social commitment. Following the positive response to the first edition, which attracted more than 400 people, the organisers hope to exceed that turnout this year. Registration will remain open until 18 June at 1.00 pm, with a fee of €7.
Support for patients and advances in research
The funds raised will be used to maintain the free services provided by the Spanish Association Against Cancer to patients and their families, including psychological and social support, medical advice, and programmes for prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. They will also help to fund research projects aimed at improving our understanding of the disease and its treatment.

The initiative takes on particular significance given that one in two people and one in three women will be diagnosed with this disease at some point in their lives. In Castilla-La Mancha alone, more than 11,200 new cases were recorded in 2023.
Through this partnership, IMEFY reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that have a positive impact on society and contribute to people’s well-being, supporting efforts that promote both patient care and advances in cancer research.
