Imefy has reached a new significant milestone by obtaining a new certification and homologation for its distribution transformers by the prestigious public company Fluvius in Belgium. This accreditation further validates the quality and reliability of the transformers manufactured by Imefy. It strengthens its position in the European market and reaffirms its commitment to innovation and excellence in the electrical sector.
Fluvius Belgium, public distribution company
This certification, granted by Fluvius under registration number 001/2024, is valid until 09 October 2028. Fluvius is the largest public utility distribution company in the Flemish area of Belgium. It has a turnover of nearly 2 billion euros and employs more than 5,000 people. It is owned by 11 inter-municipal associations comprising more than 300 municipalities. It provides public services in the distribution of electricity, gas, water, heating networks, sustainable mobility and public lighting, as well as the management of sewerage and data networks.
The importance of the power grid
Due to the quest for climate neutrality by 2050 and all the associated developments in the field of mobility, building heating, industrial processes and green energy production, the power grid will play an increasingly important role in the coming years. Therefore, it has an ambitious investment plan 2024-2033, where the demand for distribution transformers will be very relevant and sustained.
